Notes are stored as .md (markdown) files in the folder you select. Each note is saved as YYYY-MM-DD Title.md.
Yes! Your notes are standard markdown files. You can open and edit them with any text editor or markdown app.
Simply copy your notes folder. Since notes are plain files, you can back them up however you prefer.
Make sure the folder contains .md files with the correct naming format (YYYY-MM-DD Title.md). Try selecting the folder again if permissions were reset.
Search indexes notes in the background. If you just opened a folder with many notes, wait a moment for indexing to complete.
iOS may reset folder permissions. Go to the folder selection screen and re-select your notes folder to grant access again.
