Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sync notes across devices?

Store your notes in iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive. Open the same folder on each device. Your notes sync automatically through your cloud service.

Where are my notes stored?

Notes are stored as .md (markdown) files in the folder you select. Each note is saved as YYYY-MM-DD Title.md.

Can I edit notes with other apps?

Yes! Your notes are standard markdown files. You can open and edit them with any text editor or markdown app.

How do I backup my notes?

Simply copy your notes folder. Since notes are plain files, you can back them up however you prefer.

Troubleshooting

Notes not showing?

Make sure the folder contains .md files with the correct naming format (YYYY-MM-DD Title.md). Try selecting the folder again if permissions were reset.

Search not finding notes?

Search indexes notes in the background. If you just opened a folder with many notes, wait a moment for indexing to complete.

Folder not accessible?

iOS may reset folder permissions. Go to the folder selection screen and re-select your notes folder to grant access again.
